Teams,
We’ve got 20 games on the schedule tonight, with the first kickoff at 6:00pm sharp. Officials will be on site early so games can start on time—please be ready. Away teams will begin with the ball; there will be no coin toss.
Each game block is scheduled for 40 minutes of play with 5 minutes for changeover. Officials will end games promptly when the time is up. At 5 minutes remaining, if the game is not already in a manageable period (3 minutes or less, or under the 1-minute warning), officials will provide a final time notice to ensure the game ends on schedule. While we’ll maximize every minute, delays in one game cannot push back the rest of the evening.
Field rotations: teams should only need to move 1–2 fields at most. This should not take the full 5 minutes of changeover. Please move promptly so the next games can begin on time.
Sidelines & Media:
-
Keep sidelines clear. All items must remain behind the safety zone.
-
No spectators are allowed on sidelines. Spectators may only watch from the back of end zones or behind safety zones.
-
Authorized media for tonight includes DC, Larry, Sharp (Minority Report), Olivia, and Josh Bowron.
-
Any other media must have written permission to film on or from the sidelines. Spectators may record only from the back of the end zone or safety zones.
Children:
All kids must be supervised. With all 5 fields in use, there is no extra play space. Children are not permitted on batting nets, soccer goals, or other facility equipment. These are not property of TC Flag Football—any damages will be tracked, and invoices will be passed along to parents.
Officiating:
Calls won’t always go your way, but once a ruling is made, play moves forward. Please adopt a “next play” mindset. Captains may share feedback after games, but in-the-moment debates will not change calls.
Sportsmanship expectations:
-
Players who are disruptive, instigate drama, or engage in physical altercations will be addressed by officials and board members.
-
A first offense results in a warning; a second offense leads to ejection for the night.
-
Any player who targets or escalates against someone already warned will be ejected immediately. Instigating or attempting to push another player toward ejection is equally unacceptable.
Our goal is simple: a fun, competitive season focused on the game—not unnecessary drama.
Captains:
Only team captains may speak to officials about calls. Each team should designate one captain and identify themselves at the start of the game. Officials will look to captains for timeouts, penalty confirmations, and communication.
Let’s make this season one to remember—for the right reasons.
